Full of Craft Workshops and Demonstrations – Be inspired - Come have a go – it’s all free to you! § This years Community Woodcarving will be next years Treefest gatepost! Make your mark! John Flanders and members of the Newstead Carving Club will show you how. The Club will also have a collection of fine woodcarving and walking sticks on display and are happy to share their knowledge and skill. Community carving activity will run from 11am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday. § Celtic Art from the lovely Kerry Richardson. Beautifully crafted artwork created by Kerry will be on display – yours to purchase. § Textile workshops that are designed to catch dreams! Lynda Kinnard’s colourful display of fabric and textile crafts is an absolute delight. Come along and join in the wonderful workshops – make Dream Catchers and God’s Eye’s to take home with you. But be quick – these workshops have a reputation and fill up quickly. Booking essential! Activity runs from 11am to 1pm, 2pm to 4pm, and 4.40pm to 6pm 18th & 19th July § New to Treefest this year -Treewright Turner & Artisan in Wood, meet Robin Fawcett at Bodgers Corner. Robin will demonstrate this eco-friendly wood craft, is happy to discuss the history of the lathe, talk about timbers, their uses and identification. If you are looking for bowls, a stool, chair, wooden toy, spoon, whistle, twig pencil or culinary and rustic craft products made by a traditional woodcraftsman this is the place to find it. www.treewright.co.uk
